At Villa Noria, our mission is clear: to combine the pleasure of wine with respect for our planet. To build a more responsible future, we have embraced several key commitments, especially in eco-design and responsible management of our packaging.
Eco-design at the heart of our approach
We design our wines with their environmental impact in mind right from the start. This means using sustainable materials, reducing unnecessary packaging, and optimizing processes to minimize our ecological footprint. Every step is carefully planned to limit our impact while ensuring the quality of our products.
Reuse and glass bottles cleaning
One of our flagship initiatives is bottle reuse. Over 70% of our ranges are offered in reusable, washable bottles certified by the France Consigne network.
This choice allows us to save up to 75% energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 79%, and cut water consumption by 33% compared to traditional recycling.
This system not only reduces resource consumption but also helps minimize waste production. Our bottles are carefully washed according to strict sanitary standards after use, making them ready for reuse and promoting a virtuous circular loop.
Waste reduction and responsible recycling
We have also chosen to eliminate capsules on our bottles, in compliance with European regulations since 2019. This change is part of our waste reduction initiative, as plastic and aluminum capsules are difficult to recycle and contribute to pollution.
A Comprehensive eco-design approach
Beyond reuse, we limit the use of non-recyclable materials in our packaging: natural glue, recycled paper labels, kraft tape, and biodegradable cartons. These choices help reduce our carbon footprint and promote more responsible consumption.
Our partnership with Oc'Consigne
Since 2022, we have been collaborating with Oc Consigne – Réseau France Consigne to strengthen our commitment to reuse. This partnership enables us to ensure thorough and certified cleaning of our bottles, guaranteeing their quality and sanitary safety while reducing our environmental impact.
