The Villa Noria vineyard has been cultivated organically since its creation in 2010 and adheres to France’s certified HVE (high-value environmental) approach.
So that the vines give their best, the estate takes scrupulous care of its environment.
- Protection of the nearby drinking-water abstraction,
- Water biodiversity audit
- Elimination of all forms of chemical inputs
- Development of the eco-system
- Conservation and defence of the landscape
- Quantification of biodiversity in the vineyard’s borders, low walls, lone-standing trees, grassy strips …
Villa Noria is the fruit of overflowing enthusiasm, ethics and values. The only inheritance left to its owners by their winemaking ancestors was the love and respect of the land. Found between Pézenas and Montagnac, it produces elegant organic wines, in perfect harmony with nature and the region.
The vines, nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the foothills of the Larzac plateau, give elegant wines from the noble grape varieties, such as Piquepoul, Sauvignon Blanc, Clairette, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay
Since its creation in 2020, the winemaker owners have chosen to have a vineyard under organic cultivation. They focus on biodiversity (planting hedges around the vine parcels), planting grape varieties that are the most resistant to disease (so as to limit the number of treatments), protection of a priority abstraction of drinking-water (in partnership with the water unions for the Hérault valley), conservation and defence of the landscape (the “Biodiv’eau” water biodiversity audit; the Dephy ecological network’s “Ecophyto” plan), maintenance of biodiversity in the vineyard borders, the low dry-stone walls, the little stone huts, lone-standing trees, and grassy strips …
The vinification is done as naturally as possible, respecting the grapes, without fining (vegan) and with low doses of sulphites. The philosophy is to use the fewest oenological products possible, to vinify as naturally as possible and respect the grapes. Villa Noria holds certificates such as the USDA NOP (for the United States), China Organic, and Vin Nature (for the vintages without sulphites).
The Villa Noria vineyard has been cultivated organically since its creation in 2010 and adheres to an “HVE” (high environmental value label) and CSR approach. It has held the ECOCERT certification since 2011 and is committed to respecting the biological production rules defined by the European Regulation (EC) n° 834/2007. The estate’s aim is to have a positive carbon balance and ecological footprint by 2022.
